What’s happening in Real Estate in the valley these days? As of today there are over 52,000 homes on the market in the valley and 5,179 in Scottsdale. With reference to Scottsdale's 5,179 listings, 1,169 are single family homes over $500,000 on ½ acre lots or larger and 125 are in escrow with the same criteria. There are currently 7,109 homes in escrow in the valley. This includes all home types in all price ranges.

The number of homes in escrow is similar to that in a “normal” real estate market, however, with the number of homes currently for sale the picture is skewed. Investors selling off homes that they purchased over the past few years and homeowners facing foreclosure has increased the number of available homes and in some areas this has affected pricing for people selling a home. In Scottsdale, the prices have been fairly stable while the time on market has increased.
