Putting My House on the Market in Arizona
December 1st, 2007 2:50 PM

I'm a Seller With Great Expectations!

I've joined the "seller club" and have put my home on the market.  I'm thrilled to buy at this great time and have found the perfect house in North Scottsdale.  Each week I receive updates from my lender about the current interest rates and to my good fortune they keep declining.  BUT, I have to sell my house.

So, I am now walking in the shoes of my clients with a list of things to do.  I know how important staging is so I rented a storage and cleared out all of the clutter which is so meaningful to me that I can't even remember what I put in there!  Every closet, room, wall, counter, cabinet, and pantry have been spruced up and everything arranged just perfectly.  I've already had two showings on my house and am thrilled at that in this slow market.

My price point is low so that I'm not the most expensive and actually one of the lowest of comparable properties in my subdivision. It's tough to start the process during the holidays but people are still looking AND buying at this time so if the time is right for me then it may be right for someone else too.

Yes, my expectations are high because this really is a great real estate market with these extremely low interest rates and plethora of homes to choose from.  While I've personally bought and sold homes throughout the years, being in the trenches right now gives me a good view of the market not only as an agent but as a buyer and seller!

If you are ready to move, buy, invest, or just chat about the local market, please contact me at 480-991-0118 or e-mail to jen.kelly@azreallink.comLet's take advantage of this great market!

Life Planning - Being Prepared
December 13th, 2007 10:14 PM

Every time I turn around there is some natural disaster or unexpected event happening to me, someone I know or to people on the other side of the continent. Those fires occur every year in a new part of the US not to mention hurricanes, tornados, and floods. And what about the regular things that happen to all of us every day like getting robbed, or losing your wallet, or getting sick. What about going on vacation? That’s always the time when something unexpected happens and you need a phone number or policy information.

What I’m getting at is that I finally woke up and smelled the coffee! I got organized for all of these crazy things that life throws at me every day. And I did it with The Be Prepared Book. I use it for everything. I back up the data for soft copy storage, I have a hard copy with my parents for emergencies and I have one at my home for every day use. This book has a place for everything including my doctors, investments, friends, personal goals, collectibles, domain info, and so much more. Just last week I took it with me to my will and trust attorney and it made the meeting go quicker with less billable hours to me in the end. All because I had all of my personal information, contacts, and assets at hand.

I’ve never seen a book like this before but I feel like it saved me and my family many times. So if you think it’s something that would work for you or help organize you, I highly recommend it! As with anything like this it takes some focused effort to get it all into the book but you’ll be so happy you did. Can you imagine having everything at your fingertips if you had just seconds to leave your home in a fire? This book would be a lifesaver during such a difficult time. Find it at www.TheBePreparedBook.com It’s inexpensive and worth it!
