Let's look at some good things in the marketplace for a change. 

1. There are so many choices in housing! The marketplace in almost every city in America has inventory surplus for single family homes, condos, townhomes, and apartments.
2. Housing is becoming more affordable.  With all of the inventory, sellers are dropping prices and are more flexible in looking at offers that come their way. Even though sellers are dropping prices, they too will have more opportunity and make it up on their next purchase when they get the deal of a lifetime!
3. Interest rates continue to be low.  Now is the time to buy, refinance or invest. There is even rumor (in the media) that rates may be dropping but that is on the horizon and not a fact at this point.
4. There is money to lend. Yes the qualification process is more stringent but if you have a good credit score at or above the 700's, and money to put down, then go for it! 
5. People are still working.  Despite all of the horrible news, over 90% of the country's employed people, are still employed!  They are getting regular paychecks and many have the means to continue their current lifestyle.
6. Higher priced homes are selling.  While the economy has touched the lives of people at every economic level, higher priced homes do continue to sell.  It may take a little longer than it did a few years ago but there are buyers at this level waiting for your home!

Let's all start a mind-shift and look at the positive things going on in real estate and in every industry.  Our country will bounce back!
